Sony Camera Compatibility
-
Sony camera compatibility with Pictomic’s Visere Captura Product Photography Software is determined by the functionality provided through the integrated Sony Software Development Kit (SDK). This SDK serves as the communication link between the software and your Sony camera, enabling features such as remote control, image capture, and advanced camera operations.
To maintain compatibility with the latest Sony camera models and features, Pictomic continuously integrates the most recent SDK updates provided by Sony. These updates typically include:
• Support for newly released Sony camera models
• Bug fixes and stability improvements
• Enhancements to existing functionality
By keeping your installation of Visere Captura up to date, you ensure ongoing compatibility with Sony’s evolving SDK, allowing you to fully leverage Sony’s imaging capabilities in your photography workflow. -
To determine whether a specific Sony camera is compatible with Visere Captura, follow these steps:
1. Identify the Camera Device Model .Use the reference table provided on this Wiki page to map your Sony camera to its corresponding device model.
2. Verify Sony SDK Support.Once you’ve identified the device model, visit the official Sony SDK support page to check if that device model is listed as supported by the SDK.
Only cameras with device models supported by the Sony SDK will function with Visere Captura. If your camera’s device model is not listed, it is not currently compatible with the software.
