🔹 Visere Captura 5.0 Is Here
We’re excited to share the release of Visere Captura 5.0, which introduces expanded Control Camera capabilities and continues our investment in deeper camera integration.
With this release, advanced camera control features are now part of Visere Captura Pro, giving you more direct access to camera settings and reducing the need for manual, camera-side adjustments.
Additional updates include:
- Updated Canon SDK integration
- Live View zoom in camera control for Nikon Z cameras
- Bug fixes and general performance improvements
- Additional updates listed in the release notes
🔹 Expanded Camera Support Across Canon, Nikon, and Sony
Canon: New SDK + Expanded Pro Controls
The latest Visere Captura 5.0 now uses Canon’s newest SDK: EDSDK 13.20.0, adding support for the EOS R6 Mark III.
In addition, Visere Captura Pro now supports nearly all camera settings available through the Canon SDK, including, where supported by your model:
- Battery status
- Histograms
- Picture quality / image format settings
- And many more camera parameters exposed through the SDK
The goal is straightforward: fewer camera-side adjustments, more consistency from session to session, and faster capture setup for teams.
Nikon Z: Live View AF Zones
For Nikon Z cameras, we added Live View AF Zones. This gives you better control over how autofocus is placed and managed during tethered capture—especially helpful for product photography, macro work, and detail-critical shots.
Sony: Easier Windows Setup + New Focus Options
Sony configuration on Windows is now simpler: Sony driver installation is included to reduce setup steps and speed up first-time connectivity.
We also added Sony focus selection options to provide more control over focus behavior in supported Sony models.
🔹 Active Maintenance Unlocks Visere Captura Pro
If you have an active maintenance agreement, you have access to the Pro version of Visere Captura, including advanced camera control capabilities, Background Removal Pro, multi-camera support, and ongoing software updates.
For customers who want the latest camera support, deeper control options, expanded workflow tools, and continued feature improvements, active maintenance remains the best way to keep your workflow current.
🔹 Out of Maintenance? A Good Time to Renew
If your maintenance has expired, this is a strong opportunity to renew with a 5-year long-term maintenance plan.
Depending on the offer currently available to you, you may qualify for either:
- 20% off the 5-year long-term maintenance plan
- 10% off the 4-year long-term maintenance plan
Renewing maintenance helps you stay current with new camera integrations, feature updates, and support. It also restores access to the Pro version of Visere Captura while your maintenance remains active.

🔹 Coming Next: Remote Automation
We’re also working on a major upcoming capability: remote automation in Visere Captura.
This will introduce web socket control, allowing you to:
- Trigger capture remotely
- Control basic actions such as Snap and Shoot 360s
- Integrate Visere Captura into custom systems
- Automate workflows using Python or other programming languages
We’ll begin with core functionality and expand over time toward broader control of Visere Captura’s feature set.
