Receive non-concurrent backup licenses to install Visere Captura on additional devices or user accounts, so long as you never exceed the number of concurrent licenses you have purchased. Backup licenses are provided free of charge once the required agreement form is completed and submitted.

1. License Bound to User and Computer

The standard Visere Captura license is tied to a single user and a single computer. The license file cannot be shared between multiple computers or multiple user profiles.

If you need to run Visere Captura under multiple user accounts on the same machine, you must request non-concurrent backup licenses.

2. What Are Non-Concurrent Backup Licenses?

Non-concurrent backup licenses allow you to install Visere Captura on additional devices or alternate user profiles, provided that:

  • The number of devices actively running Visere Captura at the same time never exceeds the number of purchased concurrent licenses.
  • The number of backup licenses requested does not exceed the number of concurrent licenses you own.

Pictomic provides these backup licenses at no cost, as long as the required agreement form is completed.

3. The Non-Concurrent License Agreement

To request additional backup licenses, the customer must complete and sign the Non-ConcurrentLicensesAgreement.docx. The agreement includes definitions and terms that ensure the number of simultaneous users does not exceed the number of paid licenses.

Key Definitions in the Agreement:

  • Concurrent Licenses: The number of Visere Captura licenses purchased. This is the maximum number of devices that may run the software at the same time.
  • Concurrent Users: The number of users actively running Visere Captura at any moment.
  • Non-Concurrent Backup Licenses: Additional installation allowances for backup machines or user profiles. The number cannot exceed the number of concurrent licenses purchased.

4. License Usage & Restrictions

Backup licenses allow installation on additional machines, but the simultaneous usage limit still applies:

  • You may install Visere Captura on more devices than the number of purchased licenses only if the number of active users never exceeds the number of concurrent licenses.
  • The customer is responsible for ensuring compliance with this limit.
  • If the number of concurrent users exceeds the purchased quantity, the customer must correct the issue immediately—typically by reducing usage or purchasing additional licenses.

Any time the number of active users exceeds the number of paid concurrent licenses, the customer is in breach of the agreement.

5. Remedies for Breach

If Pictomic determines that the customer has exceeded the number of allowed concurrent users, Pictomic may, at its sole discretion:

  • Disable all non-concurrent backup licenses until compliance is restored
  • Pursue any additional legal or contractual remedies available

This ensures fair usage and protects the integrity of the licensing system.

6. How to Obtain Non-Concurrent Backup Licenses

To request additional backup licenses:

  1. Download the Non-ConcurrentLicensesAgreement.docx form.
  2. Fill out the agreement, including:The number of purchased concurrent licensesThe number of backup licenses requested (cannot exceed paid licenses)
  3. Sign the document.
  4. Email the completed form to contact@pictomic.com.

Pictomic will review the request and issue the appropriate non-concurrent license files.

7. Transferring a License

In addition to backup licenses, you may also request a license transfer when switching computers.

How to Transfer a License:

  1. Install the same version of Visere Captura on the destination computer. Installing a newer version may prevent transfer if your license has expired.
  2. Launch Visere Captura on the new machine and begin registration.
  3. Email Pictomic Support to request the transfer.

The support team will issue a new license for the new machine and disable the license on the previous computer.

Once a source license is disabled, it cannot be reactivated. If you need Visere Captura on both computers, request a non-concurrent backup license instead of a transfer.

8. Pro Tips

  • Backup licenses are free, but the agreement must be completed.
  • Never exceed the number of purchased concurrent licenses. Only the number of simultaneous users matters.
  • If you routinely switch machines, a backup license may be better than a transfer.
  • Keep a record of all license files issued to your organization.
