Use the Turntable Controller on Mac. Install and use the free Pictomic Turntable Controller on Mac to rotate products, control precise angles, trigger shutter release, and automate 360 product photography workflows.

Quick start: Install Visere Captura 2.0 or higher, right-click the app and select Show Package Contents, open Contents/TurntableController, launch the controller, set speed to 10, and use Move, Nudge, or 360 Shooting Mode.

1. Install Visere Captura

Download and install the latest version of Visere Captura. Make sure you install version 2.0 or higher.

Do not launch Visere Captura after installation. The Turntable Controller is accessed from inside the application package.

2. Open the Turntable Controller

  1. Locate Visere Captura in Finder.
  2. Right-click and select Show Package Contents.

  3. Navigate to Contents/TurntableController.
  4. Double-click the Turntable Controller app.

The controller is included free and does not require registration.

3. Control the Turntable

  1. Select your turntable model.
  2. Set rotational speed to 10.
  3. Use movement controls to position your product.

Move

Continuously rotates the turntable.

Nudge

Rotates the turntable by a fixed number of degrees, then stops for precise positioning.

4. Use Advanced Settings

  • Set a custom number of steps
  • Manually trigger shutter release

Requires a shutter release cable connected from the turntable to the camera.

5. Use 360 Shooting Mode

Set the total number of images to capture over a full 360° rotation.

turn → stop → trigger shutter release

The process repeats automatically until all images are captured.

6. Configure Camera Behavior

The camera’s response to shutter release must be configured separately.

  • Save images to camera SD card
  • Transfer to a local folder for automated workflows
  • Integrate with third-party software (e.g., Capture One)

7. Important Notes

  • The Turntable Controller is free
  • No registration required
  • Bundled with Visere Captura but works independently

Bottom line: Launch the controller from inside Visere Captura, set your model and speed, then use manual or automated modes to create consistent 360 product photography.
