Install Visere Captura on Mac OS. Install Visere Captura on Mac, bypass the unverified developer warning, and complete setup so you can start using the software or activate your license.

Quick start: Open the downloaded .dmg, click Cancel if macOS says the developer cannot be verified, then right-click the installer and choose Open. On some Macs, you may also need to go to Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.
1. Identify the File You Downloaded
Before you begin, confirm whether you downloaded a Beta Version or a Release Version of Visere Captura.
Beta Version
If you downloaded a beta build, the file name will end with a .tgz extension and will include the software version number.
- Double-click the .tgz file.
- macOS will extract a new file named DMMD-VisereCaptura.dmg.
- The extracted .dmg file may not include the version number in its name.
Release Version
If you downloaded the release version from the Release Depot or Release Notes, the version number will already be included in the .dmg file name.
Once you have the .dmg file, double-click it to begin.
2. Bypass the Unverified Developer Warning
The first time you try to open the installer, macOS may display a warning that the developer cannot be verified.
Why this happens: Visere Captura is not yet signed with Apple. Because of the number of third-party libraries used by the software, the signing process takes time. Until that process is complete, it is still safe to install and use the software by following the steps below.
- When the warning appears, click Cancel.
- Go back to the installer icon.
- Instead of double-clicking it, right-click and choose Open.
- macOS will show a second warning that it cannot verify the developer.
- Click Open to continue.
If macOS still blocks the installer
On some Macs, including certain macOS 15.x systems, you may need to allow the installer manually in system settings.
- Open System Settings.
- Go to Privacy & Security.
- Find the blocked app message for Visere Captura.
- Click Open Anyway.
- When prompted again, click Open Anyway or Open to confirm.
3. Complete the Visere Captura Installation
Once you allow the installer to open, the Visere Captura setup walk-through will begin.
- Click Next through the setup dialogs.
- If prompted to uninstall an older copy of Visere Captura, allow the uninstall process to continue. It will not delete any existing images you may have captured with a previous version.
- Continue clicking Next until you reach the final step.
- Click Install.
- Enter your macOS username and password when prompted.
- Wait for the installation progress window to complete.
- Click Finish.
After installation is complete, Visere Captura will be available in your Applications folder.
4. If an Older Version Is Already Installed
If Visere Captura is already installed on your Mac, the installer may display a dialog asking to uninstall the previous version.
Click Next and continue through those dialogs. This is expected behavior during upgrades.
Important: Even if this is your first installation, you may still see an uninstall step in the setup process. Allow it to continue. Your data will not be lost.
Click Finish and continue with the installation of the new version.
5. Demo Version and Licensing
Visere Captura will run without a license for 10 days.
To avoid interruption, request your license before the 10-day period expires. License files are typically issued within 72 hours from the time the request is made.
6. Finish Setup
After installation, make sure you register and install your Tutum license.
That final step unlocks continued use beyond the demo period and completes the setup process.
Bottom line: If macOS blocks the installer, use right-click → Open, and if needed, approve the app in Privacy & Security. Then complete the installer, open Visere Captura from Applications, and install your license before the demo period ends.
