This guide explains how to install Visere Captura on Windows, including how to bypass Microsoft Defender or SmartScreen warnings that may prevent the installer from running.
1. Why Windows Blocks the Installer
You may see a warning from Microsoft Defender or Windows SmartScreen when launching the Visere Captura installer.
This occurs because Pictomic has not yet completed Microsoft code-signing for Visere Captura. The signing process is time-consuming due to the number of third-party libraries used. We plan to complete the signing process in the near future.
Important: It is safe to install and use Visere Captura without Microsoft’s signature. Follow the steps below to unblock the installer.
2. Demo Version & Licensing
Visere Captura can be used without a license for 10 days.
- Please request your license before the 10-day demo expires.
- License files are issued within 72 hours of submitting a request.
3. Step-by-Step Installation
- Download the Visere Captura installer and double-click the file.
- When prompted by Microsoft Defender, click “Don’t run”.
- Right-click the installer, select Show more options, then choose Properties.
- In the General tab, check Unblock, then click Apply and OK.
- Run the installer again and follow the setup prompts by clicking Next.
- Choose the installation directory
- Select Visere Captura and click Next
- Agree to the license agreement and click Next
- Choose the shortcut location and click Next
- Click Install
- When installation completes, click Finish.
4. Requesting Your License
After installation, open Visere Captura and don't forget to Register and Install the Tutum License File.
