This article explains how to register and activate the Focus Stacking plugin in Visere Captura using your activation code. If needed, it also covers manual registration using your Workstation ID and a license key provided by Pictomic support.
1. Before You Start
To register the Focus Stacking plugin, make sure you have:
- Visere Captura installed and running on your workstation
- The Focus Stacking plugin purchased
- An activation code sent by Pictomic support
2. Open the Focus Stacking Dialog

Select an image.
In the main Visere Captura workspace, select an image from your library or recent captures. -
Open the Editing tools.
Switch to the Editing tools panel so the selected image is in editing mode. -
Click the Focus Stacking icon.
At the top of the editing toolbar, click the Focus Stacking icon to open the Focus Stacking dialog, as shown in the figure below:
3. Standard Registration
Use these steps first. In most cases, standard registration completes the activation.
- With the Focus Stacking dialog open, click Registration.
- In the registration dialog, enter the Focus Stacking activation code you received from Pictomic support.
- Confirm to complete registration. If the code is valid and your system can connect to the licensing server, the plugin will activate and you can start using Focus Stacking.
If the standard registration fails (for example, due to network restrictions or an activation code issue), you can still register the plugin using the manual registration process in the next section.
4. Manual Registration
If standard registration does not succeed, use manual registration. This method relies on a Workstation ID and a license key generated by Pictomic support.
- In the Focus Stacking registration dialog, click Manual Registration.
- A Workstation ID will be displayed. Copy the complete Workstation ID exactly as shown. Do not modify or truncate it.
- Send the full Workstation ID to Pictomic support using your usual support channel (for example, email or ticket). Include a brief note that you are requesting a manual Focus Stacking plugin registration.
- Pictomic support will generate a license key for your workstation and send it back as ASCII text.
- When you receive the license key:
- Return to the Focus Stacking registration dialog.
- Paste or type the license key into the License key field.
- Click Register to complete manual registration.
After successful manual registration, the Focus Stacking plugin will be fully activated and available in your editing workflow.
